Past Projects

First Subsea currently has over 700 Ballgrab® connectors in use world-wide. Initially created in partnership with Trelleborg Offshore Ltd, the Bend Stiffener Connector (BSC) was designed to provide a ROVless and diverless connection for the installation of flexibles to production platforms such FPSO’s & Turrets. Following further development, two types of BSC were created with the first type I BSC being installed in 2005. The type II BSC was first installed in 2009 which includes our unique Automatic Release Clamp (ARC) system, removing the need for centralisers and tip clamps during the installation process.
